About me

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Laura Hodes. I Have a background in marketing, visual design, and conceptual design. Along with account management skills. I graduated from Moore College of Art & Design with a BFA in Illustration and a minor in business in 2021. I'd consider myself someone who is a "forever student". I strive to improve upon my skills and learn new techniques when it comes to my art. My goal is to always keep improving upon what I already have. I mostly work traditionally but am more than capable of working digitally if needed. Some of my favorite traditional mediums to use are colored pencils, chalk pastels, and gouache. Something I'm known for is working with an unconventional medium called needle felting. This is where I take linen, and wool roving along with a barbed needle and create wool paintings. My strict attention to detail helps bring my pieces to life and gauge my viewers attention.
